A New York-based company provides a property management SaaS platform to organizations all over the world. Regarded as the industry’s gold standard, the company’s comprehensive solution offers rich customization options to help manage and service rental properties — from small apartment buildings to high-rises with hundreds of tenants — more efficiently, while delivering exceptional resident experiences.

Similar to other solutions built in the early 2000’s, the company’s platform had a monolithic architecture and ran out of an on-premises data center. Over the years, the company’s engineering team had expanded the platform, which increased its complexity and made the introduction of new capabilities more difficult and time-consuming.

By the time of this project, the data center infrastructure on which the platform ran had reached its capacity and required a hardware upgrade to support the addition of new features to the platform.
